Seriously - we live in an age where WE MUST reverse these repulsive and compulsive acts and the attitudes, agencies and governments they stem from. Globally, the marine realm is in swift and significant decline, we have reached the critical scientific predictions of the past 20 – 40 years, in some oceans and seas we have surpassed this, some already reaching levels previously predicted to occur decades from now. WE MUST be decisive in order of importance, not the importance of the immediate, but ongoing importance. Make the CEO’s and directors through to employees as well as the investors and stakeholders read every scientific document referencing Dolphins in captivity and the impacts of Dolphin removal from ecosystems from the past 2 decades whilst spending the required time to do so in a basic room with 3 basic meals per day (no seafood or JUST seafood) with the only recreation performing basic manoeuvres at the command of a physiotherapist in this same room. Tested by leading biologists and ecologists when they believe they are ready, requiring a minimum 85% correctness – if they can pass this, I believe they’ll rescind of their own accord, otherwise, implement the demands of this petition. Thank You – have a nice day.

I'm a scuba diver who visited Egypt first two weeks ago. I would prefer if everyone would spend his/her time and money to safe the natural environment of dolphins instead of keeping them prisoned!!!

Dear all, do you want to be kept hostage in a 1 squaremeter isolation room, full of noises and stenches, not having anything to read, do, or watch? That is about what dolphins must feel in captivity. There animals migrate long distances, are very social with varying interactions, are able to communicate over long distances and very complex content. They are depressed in captivity and eventually die, for your pleasure. Please, don't be so egoistic, let others live, too!

Keeping dolphins in captivity is inhumane. Keeping these animals in confined spaces has a negative impact on their health and welfare. The commercial market for dolphinariums needs to be stopped and in roder to do this the Egyptian government needs to make a stand against this practice and as individuals we all need to raise awareness and ensure these dolphin prisons are boycotted by local and international tourist communities.

i had the exceptional opporunity to swim with wild dolphins whilst diving in the red sea a month ago, please leave them free, they are beautiful intelligent creatures that are much better viewed in the wild than in a tank!

It is cruel, inhumane and uncivilised activity and a result of greed and people's ignorance. Dolphins belong in the sea, not in the dolphinaria. They are hurting, suffering and dying young. Please free all the dolphins from captivity.

The practice of captivating dolphins is very cruel. Dolphins are aware creatures and have feelings and can actually communicate their sadness. Why anyone would want to keep a dolphin captive is beyond me and there cannot be any reason for it.
Cruelty must stop and children in Egypt should know this.
