HEPCA membership is open to businesses or operators with a stakehold in the conservation of the Red Sea environment. That is, any organisation whose activities have a direct impact on the environment (hotels, resorts, vessel operators), or a business that benefits from the visitors to the area (tour operators, bars and restaurants).

We do not currently offer individual membership. However, there are many ways in which you can demonstrate your support, and get involved as an individual:

Beach and Reef Clean-Ups

Every year, hundreds of HEPCA supporters devote their time and sweat to organising and participating in crucial clean-ups on land and underwater. These supporters are what we consider to be ‘guardians of the Red Sea’, and without them we could not make the achievements that we do every year. A clean-up can be scheduled for a few hours; or spread over a number of days. It can be a regular planned event; or a one-off occurrence. Every effort is a worthwhile endeavour, and we will provide support every step of the way.


Event organisers will receive a HEPCA Clean-Up Kit which comprises of:

  • Gloves.
  • Collection bags.

All we ask in return is that you send us some photos so that we can tell the local community (and the rest of the world) about your effort!
